What, me blog?

Is this thing on?

Okay, first week over, week 2 starting now. I realize it's practically impossible for me to blog every day, so I've made the decision I'd do it weekly. This way, you can see the weekly results and hopefully after week 13, I won't HAVE to repeat the exercise, but take on a plan of my own to maintain.

Here are the before and after photos so far. (Please excuse my Ohio Farmer's Tan)

I must say, I am

Those exclamation points are not in excitement, but in a "Oh my gosh, you've got to be freakin' kidding me...."

I got P90x on Saturday but wasn't able to open it up until later in the evening. Once I got a chance to sit down with it, it is really in depth. There is a lot to it and the nutritional part is crucial. My intake of food has increased. Rest assured, with all my reading, I am simply

I don't know how people can blog every day relentlessly, unless they are paid to do it! Time consuming and sometimes I just don't know what to say!

At the moment, though, I've just been too busy to do much blogging, but I wanted to start back up again. I'm not so much going to blog as I am going to journal. What am I going to journal? My participation the P90X program by  Tony Horton. The purpose

So I see this advertisement for magicJack. A USB device you plug into your computer, then plug your phone into. You get unlimited calling, local and long distance, for $20 a year. Yeah, that's what I said, a year!

The initial cost is $40 plus shipping/handling. This includes the device and your first year of service. Upon ordering, if you opt in for the 5 year plan, it's an additional $50. Even though that sounds like a great deal, it ends up costing you the same month to month with the exception of getting the magicJack for free. Either way, it's still a good deal.

So what are my intial thoughts? I want it for my Mac. It's compatible with the Intel Macs only, but to upgrade it, you need a PC. The only problem is, my PC at home is a Vista machine. No matter what I do to try to upgrade it for my Mac, Vista will not recognize the magicJack during the upgrade process. Of course I can make and receive calls, but I can't upgrade it. Strange to say the least.

Taking Life for Granted...

Posted by: Jerid Hill in Real Life on

I know this isn't industry related, but I feel I simply need to share.

I have some friends who live in California, they moved out there several years ago. They simply want to help people are hurting. One way to do that is to help break them free from addictions and the struggles of life they face daily. They work a quite a bit with the homeless, drug addicted, prostitutes and various others who simply need lifted up out of the lie they call life.

I say lie because no one should ever have to live like this, but the reality is, when we are in a situation, we rarely see it for what it truly is. Instead we see it as our reality, no matter how distorted that reality is. I don't want to belittle anyone's situation, nor am I even speaking against anyone, I simply am pointing out the lies we accept for ourselves. For example, if we are impoverty, we believe that is the way it is and we don't feel adequate enough to lift ourselves out. It might be because we don't believe we are smart enough, or capable of, or even worth it. Whatever the reasons, as humans, we have a tendency to bring ourselves down and stay down.

These children live near the border of Thailand and Burma. They live on the street. America is riddled with the homeless. One thing America offers is help. If some of these would get rid of the lies they believe and reach out, they'd see that there are good programs that can help them. Not only receiving that help, but making an effort to have a lifestyle change. I know it's easier said than done, since I'm not living a life on the street, but again it goes back to believing the lies that society places on them. Outside of America, most countries don't have it so lucky. The countries can be so impoverished, they can't offer this help. This is why it shouldn't be responsibility of the government to help, but more of an awareness for others in order they might be moved with compassion. This compassion in turn, causes a desire to want to help.

I sure do like my Mac!

A few days ago, the temperature in Wooster had gotten in the lower 60's, then the very next day, the temperature dropped. It has snowed non-stop since yesterday morning and it's going to continue until probably midnight.

Yesterday I decided to stay at work as long as I could since I had a ton of things to do today and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it into the office. So about 1:00 A.M., I made my way home, very slowly. The trucks hadn't plowed much since it's been a heavy snow, so what was the point. I only had seen about 3 cars out the entire way home.

Apple's Weather Widget I finally made it home into my drive, but it was completely snowed over, so I made a mad dash and drove up a small hill and backed my van in. I was able to rock it back and forth until I parked it in a pretty decent spot. In Ohio, you get used to this type of weather, so driving isn't much of a problem after a while. Well at least for most people, since I usually see about 3 to 4 cars in a ditch somewhere when everyone thinks they are brave enough to venture out, yet foolish enough to not pay attention to what they are doing!

So you may be wondering what this has to do with why I love my Mac.

I'm not much of a car fanatic. I like getting in my car and going from point A to point B. I remember owning quite a few older cars and really liking them until I bought new. What a difference! There is something to be said about the luxury of a new vehicle, it just feels right. Nonetheless, I don't go head over heals with any vehicle.

I have a really good friend who wanted to go to the Cleveland Auto Show this past weekend. He took his son, so I decided it was a good opportunity to spend some alone time with my 2 boys, doing manly things.

There was one vehicle that truly surpassed them all, the 2009 Chevy Camaro Bumblbee. I didn't necessarily think it was great because of the Transformers movie, but up close and personal, it was truly a thing of beauty.

Xambox. I'm not sure what the name means, but if it was in the dictionary, it would simply say, WOW!
not to be mistaken with Vista

I would say this is a must have for small to medium size businesses that are not able to file their paperwork because of time or space. It's pretty simple. You place your documents of varying sizes in the Xambox and push a button. The Xambox then scans the documents and saves them in your system. It also has word recognition capabilities.

These are currently only overseas, but we are bringing some into the U.S. this month. Contact us for more information!

Check out the transcript after the break!

There's a simple truth in eat right and live longer.

I won't go into all my beliefs on what is found in our foods and how it effects us. That simple statement alone probably gives you a decent idea of where my thoughts lie. Rather I want to show you a before and after picture of me and tell you how both my wife and I lost the weight.
